TT Part 2, Week 7 : Fabric Printing Workshop / Web Design Workshop (Sitemaping, Wire-framing...)

Today we were introduced to printing on fabric. A very interesting workshop, since there are a lot of details that you need to know when creating this type of work. The use of only certain fabrics, a special machine, knowledge of the technique for use.

Although I already used this technique last year when I took the Typography subject.

We were also presented with sewing and embroidery machines. It turned out to be very important to have patience and accuracy. Each of us was given the opportunity to try to embroider a drawing using a typewriter. Believe me, it took me 15 seconds to understand that it is harder than driving a car! :)

Well, at the end of this workshop, we ourselves learned to embroider, as they say "Handmade".

Before the lesson, we were asked to make a small design for embroidery (but I assumed that we would use a fabric printing), I made a small design of the Kazakh national pattern. That's the result, patience and embroidery is difficult. In the end I tried to give the fabric some dropping, folds and it came out peculiar!

Next Workshop was on Thursday and it was from 9am to 1pm, very long lesson :D

Our lecturer told us how to work with a client to create a website, what steps need to be taken, what to talk about with a client when receiving an order, how to understand the client correctly.

Which, by the way, is very useful for our profession. For example, I already had a case when friends asked me for help with the logo design of a new establishment, I did all the work, and the next day they said that the project was over. As if I did not have enough professionalism here either, since it is my fault that I did not take an advance payment, etc.

So, we thought out the steps, outlined the plan, and started creating the site. We thought how many pages there will be and which ones.

We also need to ask a lot of the right questions to our client so that we have enough information to create a project. After that, we can start creating the site layout. It is Layout that we want to see on each page.

We also need to remember who our audience is, what kind of approach should be to these people and what they need.
