Type Brief

Today we studied one of the most interesting topics: Type Brief. I never thought that letters and typography could be so unusual. I did not think that the lines of letters can be seen somewhere on the street, in some objects, places, lines and figures. What is interesting - you can invent your own font, your own design of letters. And also choose a font theme. Regarding our project: to invent a story for sketches - we need to come up with our own alphabet that will relate and will be combined with the theme of sketches.

Typography is everywhere we look. It's in the books we read, on the websites we visit, even in everyday life—on street signs, bumper stickers, and product packaging. Typography is the style or appearance of text. It can also refer to the art of working with text—something you probably do all the time if you create documents or other projects for work, school, or yourself. On this topic, I watched a few videos with simple examples of Typography. And one of them was very interesting :

But returning to our topic, here we included a flight of fantasy. The font that we can think of and invent can be absolutely extraordinary. We can use everything in the technique. Draw any shape of letters and using different objects. And here the fun begins!

At the lesson we had an interesting Workshop where we were given 1 hour to search this. We were offered to leave the class and explore the area of ​​the university. I began to bypass the university and pay attention to the objects in which you can see the letters. And I was amazed at how often figures of letters can be found in daily life. This is my current research and simple example :

We are given time to explore our chosen places to come up with an unusual alphabet. I'm not sure yet, but I think the Masjid Jamek mosque will help me with this and maybe the alphabet will be with Muslim patterns. See soon :)
