The first topic we started to study was "The 5 Hat Principles." A very interesting topic that concerns our practical tasks related to the sketchbook, where we will make sketches, drafts. What I understood for myself from this topic is that when we are filling out a sketchbook and creating a map, we must take into account these principles.

As there is in our slides "Information is infinite but methods to organize information is finite."

Principles are included in "The 5 Hat Principles" :

1. Location - Physical or geographical classification of information (For example Google Maps).

2. Alphabetical - Mode to organize huge data.

3. Time - Categorize events over a period of time (Calendar events, Timeline).

4. Category - Classify based on similarity or some common relation (e-commerce product category).

5. Hierarchy - Classify data by specific magnitude (Price-high to low, reviews-best or worst).

In my opinion these Principles are very important because you can organize information at a high level, it helps in designing an information architecture for any application, also helps to form the skeleton of the navigation system for your application and eventually forms the building blocks of your primary navigation.
