About the lesson: 22.04. "Context"

At the lesson we learnt about the new topic "Context". The lesson began quite interesting. Miss explained the topic with visual examples from the slides and then it came to the workshop. We were shown a red circle and were asked what we see. Someone answered the ball, someone said the nose of a clown. I saw a tomato =) Next, our task was to show where you can see this ball or how to draw it. How can you use it in different forms (like maybe half of a ball) to get some kind of picture or thing. At first, I was a little confused and drew only circles and red balls. Then Miss started explaining in more details and after that a little more ideas came and I created it in different ways. What did I understand about this topic? The design of your product can be any. But the main thing is to start from the context and from your thoughts / ideas. If it is just a beautiful picture or a beautiful detail/shape/line, without an idea and a story, you will fail as a designer. Each sketch should have a story and an idea. Let it be just a line, but you should know why you decided to draw this particular line. Take for example how you see this circle or a ball. Your correct approach to drawing a sketch will show people what idea of this circle you want to convey.
