Prof Practice : Week 1. Personal Skills Profile

What kind of Designer - Experimenter

"You know there are many ways to solve a problem, but you’re always keen to find the best way to do it. Based on your experience, you know that people’s opinions will only get you so far, as it’s only through experimentation that you’ll really discover what works and what doesn’t. The more surprising the result the better as far as you’re concerned."

Create Type - The Producer

Strong leadership skills, ability to make things happen

Balancing productivity with purpose

"The PRODUCER is the quintessential “doer” of all the creative types. People-oriented, analytical, pragmatic, and dynamic, you have a highly creative nature that’s balanced by a grounded realism and “get it done” attitude. In your eyes, an idea has real value only when it’s turned into something that others can enjoy and benefit from.

Highly goal-oriented and results-driven, you pursue your desired outcomes with a laser-like focus. You derive great pride and satisfaction from your ability to implement ideas, and you find joy in the process of creation with all its ups and downs. A natural organizer with an ability to motivate and inspire others, you gravitate to collaborative and leadership roles. You know how to make everything, and everyone, work together to see a project through to the end.

Along with your intellectual prowess and strong work ethic, your greatest strength is your ability to keep a cool head and single-pointed focus as you work through any and all challenges that arise during the creative process. But while you’re keeping your eyes on the prize, don’t get too fixated on results. Your greatest challenge is anchoring your productivity in a deeper sense of purpose. You’ll tap into your true creative depths when you can tune into the voice of your intuition and use it as a source of guidance."

What Type of Designer

"Mostly Fs

  • Who you are...

The Grid Designer "I have reached perfection and it physically hurts just looking at the world around me."

  • What we think of you...

To be honest nobody sees it but if it helps you line up your facial creams on your dressing table at home, that's fine with us – just don’t do it at our place."

16 Personalities ENFJ-T

56% Extraverted

72% Intuitive

51% Feeling (emotion decisions)

93% Judging

72% Turbulent

"The ENFJs optimistic outlook toward social relationships is a burden to them at times. When external conflicts affect a group, the ENFJ is likely to assume responsibility. Their ability to empathize then turns into a liability. ENFJs, when over-identifying with the pain of others, will loose sight of their own concerns and interests. Their idealism can also be the cause of some distress when their assumptions are unable to weather the winds of reality. Fantasized relationships rarely translate into reality and even the best charismatic leader encounters unexpected resistance.

Like all NFs, ENFJs will disassociate themselves from stressful situations in an effort to protect their sense of well-being and togetherness. The ENFJ, however, will repress the unpleasant side of life only to have to face it later in an intensified form when it explodes from its hiding place. It can manifest itself as fits of anger, sudden outbursts, or emotional explosions. Often the ENFJ's body will reflect pent-up stress by manifesting various physical symptoms that will erupt unexpectedly."

I agree a bit with the results of those tests. The last projects that I brought to the "life" were built on exactly one main point - to learn more from everyone. Each time I got the impression that I was learning something new from a friend, from a stranger, from a lecturer. It really helped me to get my projects done to the end. When you are in the middle of the road and do not know which way to go all the same, it is easier to ask a stranger and trust fate.

Although this is not very good, one gets the impression that one's own self is beginning to be absent. At such moments, you begin to think that you will have to take responsibility for yourself and stop asking.

When it comes to important things, assignments, studies or simply goals that need to be achieved, it becomes easier for me to live. Sometimes it feels like I can't sit still, in a one place without any business. If I am not busy with anything, then I am procrastinating and degrading. But if I'm all in business and I have no time to sit - then that's another matter. A different person wakes up who can stay awake for several days just to work more productively and complete all projects faster. This way, every time projects are completed a little ahead of schedule, there is time to praise yourself and enjoy everything.

Sometimes I remember the time spent in the walls of the music college and I feel uncomfortable. I practiced and studied 8 hours a day to become one of the best. When I became one of them - I was the concertmaster (2nd person after a conductor) of a symphony orchestra, the first violin of a quartet and even an advisor to a main professor, I cold-blooded towards classmates. It didn't matter to me whether it were friends or not, the main thing was that all the tasks that the teachers and professors assigned to me, and I to my classmates, were completed on time and in perfect order. It seems this is called perfectionism. A terrible word that sometimes leads to the loss of friends.
