Grad.Project Part 2: Week 8. Submission for External Brief - Social Change, Domestic Violence

altokaa

Domestic violence occurs once one individual in a relationship abuses his or her authority to abuse another. It is the use of violence and other forms of abuse in a relationship to establish dominance and insecurity. Violence may take many forms, including physical assault, psychological abuse, social abuse, financial abuse, and sexual assault. Domestic violence against women has been a concern for a long time. Women have long been stereotyped as weak, vulnerable, and easily mistreated.

Shame and fear are the main reasons why women keep quiet about their difficulties and tragedies. Women with such issues find it difficult to communicate about their concerns since they have already been silenced at home by abusers. Mentally, a barrier forms that is extremely tough to overcome. However, it is past time for society to abandon traditional assumptions. As a result, comprehensive solutions to the problem are required. The effectiveness of measures and initiatives will be determined by the coherence and coordination involved in their formulation and construction. Domestic violence must be exposed and examined in the same way that any other preventable health problem is, with the best available remedies put in place.

Work N1: "Invisible Inside" - Open your eyes. You have the Power.

Work includes my personal pictures that I shot for this particular topic, as required by the Submission Guidelines. Instead of using the illustration I was attempting to make, it was decided to generate photoshop files.

When I began thinking about this idea, I was inspired by many great women from the past and present. Queen Tomiris of the Saks Empire was an example. She fought with men on an equal basis and proved herself to be a worthy warrior on the battlefield. I visualised the faces of those mistreated females. There is always the possibility that they will become as strong as Tomiris. Every woman has the ability to rise beyond realities and be reborn as fire.

Work N2: "Stitched Mouth" - Silence is Deadly.

Domestic abuse victims are routinely threatened by their abusers in order to keep them silent. Such victims typically close in on themselves even more with each strike and beat.

Do you have any idea why females who have been abused have remained silent?

Today's culture is unconcerned about women who do not feel safe in the presence of men. Love and hope are the primary and most important reasons they are trying to keep it within. Males and their loved ones might hope for a brighter future. There's a small chance that "He'll be better," "This is the last time he'll do this to me," "He wasn't simply in a good mood," and so on. However, this is not a one-time occurrence that will not happen again after the initial abuse. If there was any kind of abuse, there was no way for those individuals to recover. It's more about mental disorders that has to be addressed. Fear is the ultimate reason why women remain silent. Fear of being harmed by males once more.
