Primary Research: Interview with Professional Graphic Designer Ernaz Ramazanov:
1. What can you tell about Motion Graphic?
Today Motion Graphic is a broad specialisation, which is in demand in the film industry, advertising, music videos, and even in branding. This is a large niche that is becoming more and more popular every year.
2. Have you had any experience in this area?
I had this opportunity once to work on the branding of one company. In addition to the brand we are used to, the company requested to create a motion logo and a small video linking together the message of the company and their principles.
3. How successful was the final work?
There are always rooms for improvement. I think this was the case when I was not sure if I was doing everything right. Motion Graphic is not that difficult, depending on the complexity of the style. It is difficult to agree on the client's vision and my personal one. When, as a specialist, you imagine everything differently.
4. Do you think that Motion Graphic is an effective way to improve brand development?
Of course, definitely. As I said, this is such a broad direction that allows the mind to unfold a small idea into something incredible.
5. Do you think that through Motion Graphic it is possible to more accurately reveal the topic and the meaning of the companies?
When designers create a logo, it is important to create something that will remind of the company's principles. But usually for many clients, it is very difficult to understand the meaning of the logo right away. Motion Graphic, in turn, allows you to convey an idea very easily, intelligibly and in a few seconds.
6. Have you heard of such a direction as "honest design"?
Modern society lives in a post-trend world of numerous ideas and cult objects. Following the cult objects of our time, it spreads the direction of "honest design". "Honest Design" - it is complex content in a simple form as I understand. It is easy to make a true design, but if it will benefit the consumer, isn't that the purpose of the design?
7. Why is this direction more often avoided by design companies?
The design industry is influential and widespread. If it was the desire of the designer himself, the world would be turned 360 degrees. But we all work for clients / for a company, and more often we do what is beneficial not for ourselves - designers, but for companies and consumers.
The term "motion graphics" refers to graphics that move. It’s the most straightforward definition you can get. Motion Graphics is sometimes referred to as Motion Design, which simplifies the connection between movement and design components. Motion Graphics is the process of applying design expertise to new mediums by including elements of time and space, i.e. generating movement. The advancement of technology, as well as the availability of displays in a variety of gadgets in our regular lifestyle, has broadened the scope of Motion Graphics applications. What was formerly employed just to provide technical knowledge and create the tone for a tale is now utilised for a variety of objectives.
