Hyundai (a handshake of trust and satisfaction between company and consumer).
"Hyundai Motor Company" (translated as "Modernity" or "Keeping pace with the times") logo stands for two people shaking hands(company and client - customer).
It is the largest car manufacturer in South Korea and is ranked 4th in the world in terms of the number of cars sold to date.
The company with the official name Hyundai Motor, as an independent enterprise, appeared in 1967. The first car was designed in conjunction with the automaker Ford. The debutant was named Cortina. Starting from the same 75th year, the cars of the Korean company appeared in countries such as Ecuador, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Belgium. In 1986, the United States was listed on the list of models for export, and over time, cars began to gain more and more popularity. And the company's management decided to change the logo. Since then, an intricate icon in the form of a capital letter H has appeared on the radiator grilles of each model. As the creators of the logo explain, the meaning hidden in it emphasises the company's cooperation with various kinds of customers. Official version - the emblem shows a brand representative shaking hands with a potential buyer.
Mercedes Benz (philosophy of the brand is domination at sea, air and land).
In 1880, entrepreneur Gottlieb Daimler decorated the wall of his own house with a three-pointed star, using it as a talisman. The star became the logo of Daimler Motoren Gessellschaft in 1909. It was a symbol of the use of Daimler engines in the air, on land and in water, as the company also produced aircraft and marine engines.
Multiple victories in sports races and rallies of the Mercedes car brought the popularity of the company, so it was decided to decorate the emblem with a laurel wreath as well, as the winners. Later, to simplify the advertising version of the logo, the laurel was removed, leaving only the ring. In addition, the Benz company also had its own logo - the steering wheel, and after the merger, the management had their own ideas about what the Mercedes badge meant, and proposed to merge both company logos together, with a slight improvement.
Due to the fact that the Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft Corporation produced not only cars, but also engines for ships, it was decided to depict an aircraft propeller or an aircraft sight on the logo. And the meaning of the three ends meant the dominance of the company on land, in water and air, as desired by Daimler Gottlieb.
Adidas (new version of the logo means a mountain which is challenges and trials).
The new logo consists of the branded three stripes, turned into a "mountain" - a symbol of overcoming the difficulties and challenges that athletes face.
The emblem is intended for clothing and equipment of professional athletes (Performance line). Today the company has 4 main logos for different branches of the brand. It's a practical, flexible, versatile branding. Whenever you see sportswear, sneakers or 3-Stripe gear, the brand is instantly recognised.
The Adidas logo features 3 stripes. They embody 3 main tenets of the production of sportswear and footwear:
1. Each sport needs its own products;
2. Shoes must be durable;
3. Shoes must protect the athlete from injury.
But we'll dive deeper into the meanings of one logo Adidas Performance.
Nike (derived from goddess' wing,'swoosh', the sound of speed, movement, power and motivation).
The Nike swoosh represents the wing of the famous statue of the Greek goddess of victory Nike, which has been the inspiration for many great and brave warriors.
Nick Knight wanted the Nike logo design to be an emblem that was simple, dynamic and flexible at the same time. These words characterise the Nike logo, which has successfully evolved into one of the most influential and recognisable symbols around the world. Initially, the brand was introduced as "tape", but later became known as "swoosh" (the whistle of air being cut), as this name accurately symbolises the material from which Nike makes sports shoes.
The logo has an exclusive mission: "to bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete in the world." The slogan: “Just do it” and the swoosh logo have become a way of life for many generations. The history of Nike's identity is an amazing example of how a small symbol with a simple yet powerful design can contribute to the success of a brand and transform a company into a global star.
