Graphic Design is a huge space with thousands brunches. Without a compelling, indeed, taxonomic, way of organizing design activity, we are selling ourselves short; we not only have difficulty understanding the profession ourselves, but also in communicating to the world our potency, range, and potential impact. In the end, we seem scattered and "designy"—in a less-than-flattering sense of the word.
There are 4 main types of Design :
Commercial Design
Experimental Design
Responsible Design
Discursive Design
Commercial design is the balance that design seeks to achieve, made possible by the manipulation of two basic concepts, namely function and form (or aesthetics). When these two concepts are combined and the needs of each of them are met in perfect harmony, the result is a functional and impressive design. This is how I understood the topic CD.
Commercial design is a design process that is created specifically for enterprises, in compliance with the rules and legislation. Priority is given to the structural integrity of the design and its functionality.
Every detail incorporated in design is intentional and serves the overall purpose of furthering the CD ability to achieve its specific business objectives.
Experimental Design - This design allows you to experiment, open your imagination and embody them. but more often than not, such a design branch does not have a regular income. Such a design works more on the process, the main thing here is to experiment and find something new. something that no one has yet explored. to hook the audience and audience.
Responsible Design
Be An Ethical Designer and Be An Honest Designer
Ethics is needed, and we as designers must always be ethical. Because we are responsible for each of our words, for each of our designs, posters. We must believe, truly believe in what we are doing and what we are rooting for. And accordingly, to refuse work that is harmful, the harm that we are aware of.
Be An Environmentally Responsible Designer
We, like other public people, make a great contribution to the social world. People look at us and they listen to us. We must set the right example to make this world a better place. Being creative, thinking outside the box about how to make a more environmentally friendly design choice. These options are not only beneficial to the environment; they show your customers that you are also a progressive designer.
Discursive Design
The goal of DD, rather than usefulness or aesthetics, is to encourage reflection on basic socio-cultural discourses such as climate change, arms control, genetic engineering, immigration and animal rights.
Discursive design uses products primarily to express ideas and makes people think.
