When I was thinking about the "Shezhire" project itself, warm soft beige shades came to my mind that would be conducive to friendliness. Also muted green, red, blue colors to show the various colors of Kazakh national ornaments.
The original ornaments that I drew were in different shades and styles. At the beginning of the journey, it is always difficult to determine the style of the project and its spirit. Experimenting with different styles, I finally ended up with what I wanted to show.
It was supposed to be quite minimalistic, but at the same time, nationally elegant. I also sketched a tree, which I used on several pages of my book. To show that "Shezhire" is not only a pedigree, it also remains a tree that everyone associates with the family and ancestors.
The likeness of the tree had to match the chosen style. It remained like a tree, but with a touch of individuality. Personality of my tree Shezhire. After all, as I described in the book, Shezhire is an individual story of everyone.
In the previous post, when I talked about the meaning of Shezhire, I also mentioned the pedigree of the Kazakhs, where there are 3 Juzes:
Elder, Middle and Younger. Each Juz has several different tribes in. Thus, each tribe had its own sign. I have tried to combine several signs of the tribes of the each Juz to create a united ornament.
Younger Juz - Kishi Juz
Middle Juz - Orta Juz
Elder Juz - Uly Juz
For the main ornaments, I used a leather texture. In ancient times, Kazakhs very often used leather. Many items of the national interior were covered with leather. Nowadays, when we exhibit national yurts, they are full of leather goods.

Almost in every house of Kazakhs, photographs hang on the wall, or the pedigree is built on papers and documented. I decided to share my Shezhire and show how exactly the photographs of our Shezhire are captured on the wall in our house. In order not to show faces, given the confidentiality of each of my relatives, I illustrated the example of our Shezhire.
On the left side - my grand-grand-grandmothers, on the right side - me with my sister. After us the generation and Shezhire itself should be continued.

I am sincerely excited about the final project. Because I put my whole soul into the project and sincerely tried to make the project closer to me. It was not easy to describe the whole story, but I am glad that there is a part of me and my Shezhire.
