I have been researching for a whole day about Relevant Protest and the Art itself. But so many things that designers did in their works were a little bit strange for me.

How frank and open the work can be. How easy it is to open your eyes and expose people to display topics that were worth keeping quiet.

I am from Kazakhstan, where such frank topics cannot be raised, where the government is just as bad as described in the works of revolutionary artists, where it’s not okay to get naked, where women have no voice to say or any action in response to men. I am very interested in reading about how designers give a voice to all people and all global issues.

So, there are some interesting posters/pictures which support different kinds of protests, that I liked due to research :

Khaled Hafez

Khaled Hafez lives and works in Cairo, Egypt. His work will be shown in the 57th Venice Biennale.

Neha Choksi

Neha Choksi lives in Los Angeles, USA, and Bombay, India.

Vernon Ah Kee

Vernon Ah Kee lives in Brisbane, Australia.

“An Attack Against One,” circa 1970

But as for my theme for the poster, I noted a couple of options :

The first is the ocean, water, and of course the environment. How many times have people noticed how the ocean throws all the dirt and debris onto the land that has accumulated in the depths of the ocean, which people threw away every day without thinking about the consequences. "OCEAN IS NOT A TRASH CAN".

The second one is about animals and tests that people do on poor animals to check cosmetics, drugs, new preparations, some mutations. This is our Earth, and animals are the Earth as well. "ANIMALS ARE NOT FOR TESTING SOMETHING".

The third one I choose on my own experience. As you may know I was musician and I remember how people relate to musicians or artists. Do they that it is easy?

Yes! People think that to be a musician it is a pleasure, because you do not need to work, only play simple songs for entertainment and that's it. But they forget how many years they spent on education. Since 7 years old until 24-26 yers old.

Same with ballerinas. This is hard, this pain, this is no rest and no childhood at all. Only practicing for a whole day for 19 years. Same with artists. Do people think that it is easy to draw something or come up with the idea for posters, for advertising? Yes, They do

Conclusion is about that point that I am going to think about this all deeply and very soon the idea will be chosen.
