Urban Sketching : My experience. Lesson

Today, in the class, we started with a very interesting topic: Urban Sketching/Visual Journalism. Miss Vinsze explained the topic very interestingly. It also should be noted that the slides that we saw in class, and later were found in our bb, turned out to be very educational and interesting. I discovered a lot of new things and got a very good experience today.

First, we started with the TED Talks video where Graham explained to us that all people can draw. On the video he showed some simple faces/emojis that everyone can draw. And that was really funny:)

After that we made some sketches with the one rule "Blind" contours. We hadn't to look at the paper, only could look at the partner face. Of course, I tried to draw without my viewing on the paper, but that was really difficult! Then we changed the partner and tried to draw again. Also Ms Vinsze explained us that it isn't so important to draw only on a paper. It can be everything, even as we tried to draw on a piece of file.(last picture)

After this interesting and unusual works we went out of the class and looked at the window where could see the gallery. There were a lot of people and things that we could mention on our sketches.

For me that was really funny when Ms Vinsze used The chicken for call us or for remind that time is running out. That's why when I painted at the same time I imagined this chicken and the sound of it was everywhere in my mind and my ears.

Returning to our chicken, I couldn't forget the sound that reminded me of the end of time. We were given only 30 minutes to draw sketches and the first thing I rushed to look for inspiration. And every time I looked at the clock that chicken was in my ears. If you look closely at my sketches, you can see the chicken and also pink spots on every pics. The pink one it is a girl that I followed while I painted. First sketch was in a Starbucks Coffee. As you can see I painted it on a paper wrapper. Paper that I used on the second one was given by Ms Vinsze. On third one I haven't already have something unusual, that's why I used just the A4 paper.
