To be honest, I had never thought about how in films the director communicates with the public. I always thought it wasn’t so hard to get in touch with the audience through the movie. But thanks to today's lesson, I learned a lot of interesting things that videographers usually use.
To shoot a clearer and more understandable plot, we identified several points that are worth sticking to:
1. Planning the shot flow
2. Drawing the mise en scéne
(mise en scéne literally “placing on stage” refers to arrangement of all the visual elements of a theatrical production within a given playing area- the stage.)
Also we have some different shots that usually videographers use(it's more like zooming) :
1.Establishing Shot
2.Long Shot
3.Medium Shot
4.Medium-Close Shot
5.Big Close-Up Shot
6.Extreme Close-Up Shot
What about the angles, things are a little more complicated :
1.Low
2.High
3.Eye-Level
4.Worm's Eye
5.Canted
6.Bird's Eye
Now let's talk about our task. Miss Sue-Jane asked us to come up with a breakfast scenario and try to portray each in 8 pictures as the camera moves. I thought that's easy to draw, but I was wrong! That's so difficult, here I saw how my drawing skills are not good.
It is kinda complicated but here I came up with some ideas for my own Bread project, so Thanks for this knowledge!
